David Kenwright

Established in 2007 by David Kenwright (pictured) Achater Offshore Limited is an independent company providing commercial intelligence and chartering services for various owners of Offshore Support Vessels, negotiating both spot and term fixtures utilizing our network of brokers and clients in the offshore Oil and Gas Industry.

We operate from a strategic UK location in Aberdeen, the Oil Capital of Europe, and offer both North Sea and International exposure.

Our services provide clients with a cost effective professional solution to the ever changing demands of the Offshore Marine Industry.

Our aim in chartering is to bring Owners and Clients together in order to conclude contracts which are mutually beneficial to both sides.

Recent clients we have worked with include BP, Shell, Enquest, AGR, Nexen and ADTI and we currently commercially manage a mixed fleet of medium and large modern Platform Supply Vessels, Anchor Handler, Tug Supply Vessels and DP2 Jackup Accommodation Barges.

With over 35 combined years in the Offshore Marine Industry, we firmly believe that helping our Shipowners achieve their goals is what makes us successful.

  • November 2012
    Mana has been extended by BP for a further 3 months plus options from 1st January 2013.
    Malaviya 20 has been awarded the contract to support the high profile salvage of the Costa Concordia in the Med, where she will be carrying cement for the seabed grouting operations. Ma Devi has just come off a two month charter to Suncor and is prompt available.
    Durga Devi Continues with RWE out of Great Yarmouth, a charter which should keep her busy into the New Year.
    Malaviya Seven is back with Nexen carrying out general cargo duties out of Peterhead.
    GMS Endurance has commenced a long term contract with ConocoPhillips in the North Sea.

    In other news, Achater Offshore have been awarded the contract to market the UT705 Mariner Sea on behalf of the new owners, Prime Gulf International, and she should be available for work circa 24th/ 25th November.

    July 2012
    Achater Offshore have been awarded the contract to manage the commercial operations for Malaviya Twenty, a modern UT755L DP PSV owned by Great Offshore. She carried out supply runs for Nexen and Fugro before going on to Nexen firm until the end of September. Malaviya Seven continues with SPD/Valiant, Mana remains with BP and both Anglian Earl and Monarch stay with SHL. Durga Devi continues to provide supply services to RWE ex Great Yarmouth

    Malaviya Seven took some time out from her SPD/ Valiant charter to perform some cargo runs fot both BG and CNR before heading back to SPD/ Valient at the end of the month. No changes elsewhere to report.

    Global Offshore's UT755LN PSV 'Mana' is currently on long term charter to BP. Malaviya Seven (Great Offshore) is supporting drilling operations for Valiant through SPD, Durga Devi (Chellsea) continues with RWE out of Great Yarmouth and the two J.P. Knight vessles, Anglian Earl and Anglian Monarch, are supporting windfarm operations for SHL. In Egypt we have United Offshore Support's large DP2 AHTS vessels UOS Enterprise working for Burullus and UOS Explorer and UOS Pathfinder supporting BP's operations.
